Arjun Kapoor made his Bollywood debut alongside Parineeti Chopra in the film Ishaqzaade where they played star crossed lovers. The movie received widespread critical and commercial acclaim but Arjun was not very pleased with Parineeti’s casting initially. On a recent episode of Mashable Mehfil, Arjun revealed that Parineeti was very unserious about the film, which made him scared as it was his debut film.
Arjun Kapoor shared that Parineeti Chopra is not someone who likes to do workshops and reading and he felt that she was not very serious about their debut movie, which worried Arjun a bit. Arjun recalled the first day of shoot and said that when he cracked a joke, instead of laughing she said the Gen-Z lingo ‘LOL’.
“I said ‘Can you just laugh?’ It’s not a chat. So, I used to find her irritating,” the actor said. He said “Mai 6 mahine se wait kar raha hu ki Zoya mil jae and Zoya aa ke ‘LOL LOL’ kar rahi thi. I was like ‘My career is over. This girl is not interested.” However, once they started shooting Arjun saw Parineeti completely transform.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjun Kapoor is enjoying the success of his film Singham Again, after years of flops. He played the role of the main antagonist, Danger Lanka, and received priase for his negative role. It was rumoured that Arjun would star in the sequel of No Entry alongside Diljit Dosanjh, however, nothing has been confirmed yet.
